Wine bars in San Francisco try to be trendy and keep up with the trends. Some of the wine bars now are becoming AI ( not Artificial Intelligence) but Artificial Infusion of real wine. Nothing like a good bottle or glass of real wine especially in a city that's authentic as San Francisco and depending what district in the city you are located there is a real wine place near you . District wine bar the go to fun place for a fun occasion and even a pregame Giants or Warriors wine up in the San Francisco SOMA. District wine bar offers plenty of wines and been in operations for years. As the website describes District of having Wine & Whiskey for days ( my kind of place). The website ( and my personal testimony) they are globally inspired and locally sourced. They have great wines to pair with anything from tapas to ahi tuna poke, oysters, buttermilk fried chicken, cheese plates and grilled hanger steak. So many varieties to pair it up with such as a Red ,Sparkling, and White Wine. I have been to many events at District either the Oakland location and the San Francisco location and they keep it consistent all around. All natural and locally sourced. When comes to wine I like the real thing full body and consistency When it comes to wine I am down with real wine because of it's efficiency

TLDR: I think you can find something for everyone, but not everything here is a home run. They have an expansive list of food and drink options and lots of lounge seating + high-top tables + bar seating depending on what you're looking for. It's also a large space so it's great for HH or team events in the area. ------ FOOD: * What I'd Get Again: Crispy spiced chicken wings, sea scallops, bread pudding, pear & black current crisp * In the middle: Fries, roasted cauliflower, lamb meatballs, margherita pizza * What I'd Skip: Cheese plate, charcuterie board, mushroom pizza, chocolate pot de creme ------ SERVICE: * Was awesome, our waitress was funny and personable and definitely took care of us ------ ENVIRONMENT: * It's one huge indoor space with a bar at the center and tables / seats all around it. * Lots of TVs around the space playing various things. Would be a great place to grab a drink and watch a sports game after work * The space for large groups of people is on the right and there are lots of little stools and sofas around low coffee tables, so it's not the most comfortable set up but I understand. Because there wasn't much table space though, it was a little tricky to have enough space for new dishes and each of our plates

Recommend. Killer happy hour and a great place to watch sports. Odd combo as it's not a sports bar, but District does a great job of making all their customers feel comfortable. Ambiance is classy, without being over bearing, you can feel right at home dressed for a night out, or in shorts and tennis shoes. Food is elevated past what you'd expect upon arrival, so enjoy a few bites!

Sit at the bar. The bartenders are very cool and helpful. Best happy hour for Giants games. Drinks and apps are strong.
